New Friends

  • New friends can be fun.  Still makes you miss the old ones though.
  • The tube closes crazy early during the week (~12:30) so learning the night bus system is mandatory for London residents.  Or you can just follow the people who know where they're going.  Success.
  • If you buy a set of sheets for 5 GBP they will feel like you are sleeping inside a farmer's market tote bag.  Jersey sheets are the only soft option for a cheap price.  Oddly reminiscent of freshman year of college.  
  • "Fanny" has a completely different meaning here.  This makes a "fanny pack" even more hilariously awkward than usual.  Look it up.
